Membership sites & Continuity – Why most of us don’t own this cash cow
Ideas for PLR Profits, Making Money 1 Comment »If you have never started a membership site before, starting one now can be a scary thought.
It’s tempting to stick to the familiar, the safe, the well known choices. Create Adsense sites. Write affiliate reviews. Put up sales pages for products to sell.
When you do one of these, you pretty much know how to proceed. It’s familiar territory, after all. It makes you feel safe and comfortable. Especially since all these things are tried and tested. And they work, no doubt about that.
But where does this familiarity come from?
We have all been to Adsense sites. In fact, most sites we visit, have Adsense or other forms of advertising on them.
We have also read a lot of blog posts that were affiliate reviews, or web pages that contained affiliate links embedded in them.
We have also been exposed to sales pages. Most of us have even bought several products from these sales pages.
So we have seen several examples of each. We know what the final outcome looks like, what the best practices are, and so on. On the other hand…
Very few of us are subscribers of paid membership sites
As a result, we don’t have a lot of examples to draw from, when planning our own membership sites.
We don’t know what the internal workings are, we don’t know how to keep things updated, we don’t even know what a membership site LOOKS like from the inside!
And then there is the technical stuff to overcome. And there is the problem of coming up with new content regularly to keep subscribers happy.
We don’t even know how or where to outsource this stuff! Nor do we see a lot of oursourcing providers advertising a service to set up membership sites.
No wonder we don’t think about membership sites or continuity systems when planning our next venture.
But memberships and continuity systems are good for us!
Creating and launching membership sites is good, for the following reasons:
- It’s truly a set and forget system. Once you set everything up, it continues to work for you, day in and day out. And the money keeps coming in like clockwork.
- As long as you can keep adding subscribers, your income will keep rising. Just one sale a day can generate thousands of dollars in income after just a few months.
- The income is mostly passive. Who doesn’t love passive income?
- Affiliates love to promote membership sites and continuity systems, because of recurring commissions paid to them.
- It’s as close as you can come to a virtually guaranteed income. You get paid for sales that you generated this month, as well as for sales that you generated in the PAST! This is the biggest reason why your income skyrockets after just a few months.
Clearly, membership sites can make you a LOT of money
So then why do most of us try to earn money via other methods?
Ah, that same question that brought us here.
The answer is simple, though, and by now, you know it too.
In a battle between the familiar, the safe choice, and the unfamiliar one, the familiar choice always wins. Hands down.
In fact, I am guilty of this myself! I have this HUGE collection of PLR and MRR products that I could easily sell as a membership, and I have been meaning to, for a long time. But for some reason, I keep postponing it. (In fact, this is a great time for you to buy it, because once it turns into a membership, it will cost you more money overall to own all the products in the package.)
So yes, creating a membership site is scary alright.
And that is why all the familiar stuff kicks membership site creation’s ass
Every single time. We just don’t do it!
But does that mean we should always let membership sites and continuity systems take the backseat? Make them the secondary choice that never gets implemented in practice?
Of course not! All we need to do is actually take the first step and get started!
I urge you to take the first step now
Come on, do it. This could change your life.
Here are two options that I think will make it easiest for you, especially if you are on a tight budget. There are other options, but they are costly.
Option 1: This membership software has everything a high priced software would give you, at at affordable cost. It has features like multiple membership levels, build in affiliate management system, drip content system, different payment modes (free, free trial, one-time, recurring), supports several payment gateways including PayPal, and integrates with most major email marketing systems such as Aweber and GetResponse, etc. Click here to check it out.
Option 2: I like this even better than the previous one. It has all the features of the previous membership software, plus it allows you to install the script on as many domains as you want. So if you plan to install it on more than one site, you should definitely get this one. Click here to get it.
Both membership scripts I mentioned above are good, so you can use the one you want, but as I said, if you want to launch more that one membership site, you should consider getting the second one above.
